We all know how important our company's mobile presence is, but it may be harder to convince your boss to spend the budget on mobile. Here are 10 Reasons to Go Mobile Now that are sure to convince your boss too.

1. If your site is hard to use on a mobile device, you’ll drive your customers to your competitors sites.

61% of people said that they’d quickly move onto another site if they don’t find what they’re looking for right away. If they don’t like what they do find, 79% will look elsewhere.1

2. Having a mobile friendly site can boost your traffic.

74% of people say they’re more likely to return to a mobile friendly site in the future.2

3. You may not get a second chance, first impressions are powerful and lasting.

46% of people won’t return to a website they had trouble accessing on a phone, and 57% won’t recommend it.3

4. What happens on the Web often starts on mobile.

Smartphones are the most common starting place for online activities, whether searching, browsing or shopping.4

5. Good mobile experiences can drive revenue.

67% of mobile users say they are more likely to buy a product or use the services offered by a mobile friendly site.5

6. Putting mobile off can end up costing more and being less effective.

Trying to retroactively tack mobile support onto a site solely designed with desktop users in mind, can be both overly-complicated and time consuming.

7. Mobile expands your business’ reach.

An estimated 865 million new smartphones will be shipped in 20136—how many of those consumers do you want to have access to your content?

8. Your customers expect a good mobile experience.

66% of people indicate that a poor mobile experience can tarnish their opinion of a brand or company they really liked.7

9. Most web traffic will be mobile traffic.

Gartner predicts that by 2013 mobile phones will overtake PCs as the most common Web access device.8

10. Low mobile traffic? It may be a sign you’re getting left behind.

The difference in traffic before and after mobile optimization can be drastic: Hearst Publishing saw 30%-50% increase in mobile traffic across publications after optimizing their design for the small screen.9
